Country Inn Hotels & Resorts, the flagship brand of ‘Espire Hospitality Limited’, one of India’s fastest-growing hospitality companies, has announced the opening of three new hotels in Uttarakhand – ‘Country Inn, Dehradun’, ‘Country Inn, Rishikesh’ and ‘Country Inn Smart Stays, Rishikesh’, marking a significant step in their expansion journey and launch of a new brand ‘Country Inn Smart Stays’ that offers a fresh, youthful take on modern travel. With these additions, the brand has strengthened its footprint across key destinations in Uttarakhand, with an existing presence in Mussoorie, Bhimtal, and Jim Corbett, reinforcing its expansion across both urban centres and leisure destinations. The opening of 53-key Country Inn, Dehradun, introduces a contemporary stay in the capital city of Uttarakhand. Strategically located on Saharanpur Road, along the corridor of the newly operational Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, the hotel has an advantage of the reduced travel time of just 2.5 hours now. Designed for both business and leisure travellers, as well as those heading further into the hills, the hotel offers a well-connected base with the most spacious rooms in the city, a multi-cuisine restaurant, Sutra, and expansive banqueting facilities. The hotel features large-format event venues including the Crystal Ballroom and Aura Hall, making it a strong destination for weddings, conferences, and social gatherings. In Rishikesh, the brand has introduced two distinct formats catering to different travellers. Country Inn, Rishikesh, located in Tapovan, offers contemporary accommodation in close proximity to key spiritual landmarks such as Lakshman Jhula and Parmarth Niketan Ashram. With 28 rooms including the Suites offering Ganga views, a casual dining restaurant, and an intimate event space overlooking the Ganges, the hotel is designed for travellers seeking a comfortable and well-connected stay in the city.  Further strengthening its presence in the destination, the group has also introduced Country Inn Smart Stays, Rishikesh, marking the launch of a new brand format under the Country Inn portfolio. Designed for younger, experience-led travellers, Country Inn Smart Stays focuses on smart spaces, warm hospitality, and ease of use. Located at a walking distance from Lakshman Jhula, the hotel offers 31 well designed rooms, rooftop swimming pool and dining, BOHO Café and a lively recreation zone. Speaking about the expansion, Mr. Akhil Arora, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Espire Hospitality Group, said, “Uttarakhand continues to be a strong focus market for us, given its growing appeal across leisure, spiritual, and experiential travel. With the opening of three new Country Inn properties and one more coming very soon across Dehradun and Rishikesh, we are strengthening our presence across the state while catering to a diverse mix of travellers. From urban stays in Dehradun to multiple formats in Rishikesh, this expansion reflects our intent to be present across key destinations with offerings for diverse travellers” These additions will play an integral role in our overall growth strategy. With over 30 signed hotels and a plan to add at least 1,000 keys every year, we are on track to achieve the milestone of 45 hotels by the end of FY27.”

Your Dream Summer Starts Now: Early Booking for Türkiye’s Turquoise Coasts

As travellers begin mapping out their summer holiday plans, the advantages of early booking are increasingly shaping their decisions. Discounts, package deals, and the peace of mind that comes with planning ahead have become key considerations for many holidaymakers. According to the Expedia Group’s 2025 Traveller Value Index, early booking discounts and bundled travel packages are among the most attractive options for travellers planning to book a hotel within the next 12 months. The survey reveals that 50% of travellers find discounts on package deals particularly appealing, making them the most popular option among those surveyed. The findings highlight a clear shift in travel habits: booking early is no longer just a strategy for saving money; it has become a mainstream consumer behaviour. For those looking to turn these early plans into an unforgettable summer escape, Türkiye’s spectacular coastal resorts offer the perfect setting. Stretching from the turquoise shores of the Turkish Riviera in Antalya to the elegant Aegean destinations of Muğla and İzmir, these vibrant resort cities combine sea-sun-sand holidays with culture, gastronomy, and a wide range of activities. Early reservations not only secure the best early-bird rates but also make it easier to find the ideal accommodation in the destination and resort of your choice. Once your plans are set, the experience truly begins. Crystal-clear waters and powdery Blue-Flag beaches define these shores, inviting visitors to dive into endless shades of blue or enjoy thrilling water sports. A traditional blue voyage reveals the hidden beauty of the region’s secluded bays, while beyond the coastline, countless other experiences await—from exploring ancient heritage and scenic hiking routes to savouring local cuisine and enjoying lively evenings by the sea. Book early, arrive on time, and make the most of nature, culture, history, and unique flavours along Türkiye’s Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. Escape to the Sun on the Turkish Riviera Whether planning a romantic escape, a solo break, or a family holiday, Antalya stands out as one of the most popular summer destinations in Türkiye, located on the country’s sun-drenched southern coast. With early booking advantages, visitors can secure stays at luxurious resorts offering elegant rooms with spectacular views, fine restaurants, relaxing spas, sports and entertainment facilities, aquaparks, and—particularly in the Belek area—access to world-class golf courses. Beyond its lavish resorts, Antalya captivates visitors with nearly 300 days of sunshine a year, turquoise waters, and expansive sandy beaches, including the world’s highest number of Blue Flag beaches. The city also boasts remarkable cultural and historical treasures, from ancient cities such as Patara and Side to iconic landmarks like Hadrian’s Gate, as well as natural wonders including the Düden Waterfalls and impressive caves such as Karain and Damlataş. Adventure seekers will also find plenty to explore, from hiking the legendary Lycian Way to rafting in Köprülü Canyon or diving in the crystal-clear waters of Kaş. After a day of discovery, visitors can savour Antalya’s rich Mediterranean cuisine—perhaps with a memorable dinner by the old harbour, where fresh seafood, traditional mezes, and local wines are served against a backdrop of yachts and sunset views. Antalya also stands as Türkiye’s second most globally connected gateway, hosting direct flights from over sixty countries during the peak summer season to serve as the primary international hub for the Turkish Riviera. Secure Your Spot for an Unforgettable Summer in the Aegean On the other hand, the Aegean region offers a wealth of destinations perfect for early planners, from the charming islands of Bozcaada and Gökçeada off the coast of Çanakkale to Ayvalık and its picturesque Cunda Island in Balıkesir, and the vibrant resort towns of İzmir and Muğla. İzmir, known as the pearl of the Aegean, stands out for its relaxed seaside lifestyle and high quality of life, offering fantastic summer escapes in destinations such as Foça, Seferihisar, Çeşme, Alaçatı and Urla. Visitors can try windsurfing in Alaçatı, follow the vineyard route in Urla, enjoy farm-to-table dining at MICHELIN-starred restaurants, or explore nearby UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Ephesus and Pergamon. Further south, Muğla, the shining star of the region, is home to some of Türkiye’s most beloved resort towns, including glamorous Bodrum and the natural beauty of Fethiye, Dalaman, Marmaris, and Datça. With early-booking advantages, visitors can stay in luxurious hotels while exploring iconic landmarks such as Bodrum Castle and the ancient city of Knidos, discovering natural wonders like Butterfly Valley and Ölüdeniz, paragliding from Babadağ Mountain, spotting Caretta carettas at İztuzu Beach, and enjoying exceptional dining experiences. For those eager to uncover the region’s many hidden coves and picturesque bays, a traditional blue voyage along the Aegean coast remains one of the most enchanting ways to experience its beauty.

GNTB Campaigns 2026 – Focus on Culture and Cuisine, Cities and Nature

With four global campaigns and three thematic priorities, the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) is promoting Germany as a travel destination in the international market including India in 2026. Germany’s strong position as a cultural and city travel destination, as well as the high demand for authentic experiences, gastronomy, and nature, are at the center of this effort. Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the GNTB, said: “Germany as a travel destination is excellently positioned with its pronounced hospitality culture and outstanding brand image as a service-oriented quality destination. Our campaigns and thematic priorities deliberately leverage these strengths to inspire potential travelers to Germany in key markets. This allows us to reach new customers from growth markets while also giving returning visitors reasons to travel to Germany again. In 2025, international tourists in Germany contributed €78.5 billion in travel expenditure to economic value creation. This, in turn, supports the medium-sized tourism sector.” City Campaign “Your Next Stop: Travel Destination Germany” City trips rank among the top three interests of international travelers worldwide, according to an exclusive Appinio study conducted for the DZT. With its cosmopolitan and rich cultural scene and diverse urban life, Germany is the number one city travel destination for travellers. To further boost inbound tourism for hotels, gastronomy, and retail, the DZT is running an inspiring, sales-oriented campaign, highlighting both lifestyle in major cities and the unique charm of smaller towns. “Culinary Germany” Campaign Experiencing local cuisine is the second most frequently cited activity among international city and cultural travelers—after exploring cultural heritage and sightseeing—according to the Appinio study for the DZT. The “Culinary Germany” campaign aims to position Germany worldwide as a versatile and attractive culinary travel destination with a strong hospitality culture. The core message emphasizes that unique cultural experiences emerge from the close connection between gastronomy, cuisine, and hotels. As an inspirational campaign, “Culinary Germany” showcases the country as a land of culinary and cultural delights, highlighting seasonal specialties and regional products. Food is always presented in the context of its region and the experience itself. At the heart of the campaign is a widget that takes users on an inspiring culinary journey through Germany. Based on individual interests and preferences, it recommends regions and specific attractions from the DZT Knowledge Graph, including points of interest, restaurants, hotels, food events, and wine festivals. The campaign is complemented by a new campaign film, social media, programmatic advertising, newsletters, influencer and journalist trips, as well as press and B2B communications. “Feel Good – Experiences That Stay” A central goal of the DZT’s sustainability strategy is to position Germany as a travel destination with a wide range of certified sustainable offerings. The internationally acclaimed campaign “Simply Feel Good” demonstrates how varied vacations can be enjoyed in harmony with the environment—both in nature and in the city. In 2026, the DZT will present the campaign under the new tagline: “Feel Good – Experiences That Stay.” “Season’s Greetings from Germany” Almost one in five international overnight stays in Germany occurs in November and December. Cities with large, diverse, and well-known Christmas markets—such as Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Nuremberg—lead the way, but smaller towns and regions also benefit. According to the German Showmen’s Association, visitors generated €4.17 billion in revenue at Christmas markets in 2024, plus €4.88 billion outside the event sites. The special atmosphere of Germany’s cities during the Christmas season is highlighted annually in the DZT campaign “Season’s Greetings from Germany.” In 2026, the campaign will again promote travel to Germany during the pre-Christmas period, supporting hotels and retail in cities. A widget on the campaign microsite allows users to search among more than 3,400 Christmas markets across Germany, with data sourced from the DZT Knowledge Graph. Thematic Focus: 150 Years of the Bayreuth Festival Germany is firmly established as the number one cultural travel destination. In 2026, the DZT will use the Bayreuth Festival anniversary to highlight cities and regions associated with Richard Wagner as cultural beacons within Germany. Bayreuth, with its Festival Theatre and Margravial Opera House, is the only German city included in the New York Times’ “52 Places to Go” in 2026. Other travel tips, for example for Leipzig, Dresden, Eisenach, or Nuremberg, emphasize the wide range of Wagner-related cultural experiences across Germany. Thematic Focus: Family and Friends in Nature Rural vacations increased by 4% among European travelers to Germany in 2025, according to IPK International, with mountain holidays and trips to water destinations also growing. The DZT is responding to this trend by highlighting family-friendly nature activities such as hiking, cycling, and water experiences. A dedicated thematic page offers tips for family-friendly hotels, farm stays, treetop paths, and wildlife parks. A new outdoor widget, drawing data from the DZT Knowledge Graph, provides a clear overview of all tourist offerings. Thematic Focus: IGA 2027 in the Ruhr Region Germany hosts the International Garden Exhibition (IGA), one of the world’s largest garden festivals, every ten years. Following the 2017 IGA in Berlin, the Ruhr region will position itself as the “greenest industrial region in the world” with IGA 2027. Measures include expanding and upgrading the Ruhr Valley Cycle Route. The DZT cooperates with IGA organizers and the Federal Garden Show to promote these major events internationally. Through this thematic focus, the DZT will provide travel tips as early as 2026, aiming to extend the stay of the expected 2.6 million visitors.

SEETI 2.0 Puts Meghalaya on the Global Culinary Map Through Deep Cultural Immersion

SEETI 2.0, a five-day culinary immersion, brought together around 50 chefs, creators and storytellers for an experience that moved far beyond conventional food tourism. Designed as a deeply curated cultural platform, the programme enabled participants to experience Meghalaya through its communities, landscapes and living traditions. Unlike traditional festivals, the initiative prioritised meaningful engagement over surface-level exposure. Built on the idea of generosity and exchange, it created a space where the food and beverage community could come together not just to experience, but to contribute, collaborate and carry stories forward. The result was not a moment, but a growing body of ideas, relationships and narrative capital that extends well beyond the event. “This year’s Meghalaya experience was about doing things differently. We wanted to understand what we could bring to the North East, and equally what we could take from here to the rest of the country and the world. The focus was not just on showcasing food, but on creating platforms for local chefs and communities to participate, engage and lead the narrative,” said Priya Raje, Co-Founder of the SEETI Movement. The programme was preceded by nearly a year of on-ground research, mapping Meghalaya’s diverse food systems, communities and landscapes. This translated into a series of highly contextual experiences — from meals following visits to sacred forests to immersive sessions at tea estates overlooking Umiam Lake each designed to reflect the cultural and ecological depth of the region. The structure of the experience was rooted in the identities of the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo communities. “Designed as a cultural platform rather than a conventional event, the focus was on creating real connections between people and place. When experiences are truly rooted, they shift from being observed to being felt. That sense of participation is what stays with you and what ultimately drives long-term impact,” said Sid Mewara, Co-Founder of the SEETI Movement. He added, “Many guests arrived with a limited understanding of the region’s food. What they discovered was a remarkable depth — from nuanced vegetarian traditions to layered, subtle flavours all set against some of the most striking natural environments in the country.” The programme also highlighted the inherent sustainability of local food systems from hyper-local sourcing and low-waste practices to deeply community-driven models of production and consumption. At the same time, it reinforced the importance of responsible tourism, encouraging engagement with heritage spaces such as sacred forests and community ecosystems with sensitivity and respect. While the on-ground experience was intentionally intimate, its impact has been designed to scale through its participants a curated mix of globally recognised chefs, hospitality leaders, investors, media and content creators. As storytellers, they extend the narrative into wider audiences, shaping how the region is seen, understood and experienced. The Meghalaya edition also intersected with the state’s Culinary Cascades initiative, enabling deeper engagement with local producers, chefs and stakeholders, along with conversations around the future of the region’s food, craft and cultural economy. Organisers acknowledged the role of the Meghalaya Government in enabling the initiative, noting that coordinated support across departments made it possible to execute a programme of this depth and scale. Such collaboration allows for the creation of platforms that extend far beyond individual events and begin to influence broader ecosystems. Following the success of the Meghalaya edition, the platform is now positioned to expand across the North East, the rest of India and international locations carrying forward a format that combines food, community and storytelling into a deeply immersive experience. A long-format film documenting the journey is also in development, further extending its reach.
