Taj Agra Welcomes the Monsoon with a Curated Seasonal Menu Celebrating Fresh Flavours and Timeless Comfort

With the onset of the first rains turning the city into a romantic haven, Taj Agra introduces an exclusive Monsoon Menu for its guests comprising of comforting dishes from the past and present as well as seasonal produce to make their experience complete.

In keeping with the tradition of monsoon dining in India, the special menu features some refreshing starters, seasonal fruits, seafood from the coast and nostalgic favorites.

Beginning with the Watermelon Gazpacho with Mint Oil Pearls and Pistachio Soil, which is a delightful cold soup combining the freshness of ripened watermelon, tomato, cucumber and mint with citrus flavors. In honor of the seasonal fruit, Jamun Chaat Tart is served, which provides a modern twist to Indian street food featuring freshly plucked Jamun along with fragrant spices, yogurt, mint and tamarind chutney on a tart crust.

And there can be no monsoon menu without some delicious snacks and this is exactly what the Assorted Monsoon Pakodas with House-made Chilli Chutney does. Offering crunchy onion, potato, spinach, paneer and green chilli fritters along with the green chilli chutney, this dish brings about the feeling of comfort and nostalgia associated with rainy season days.

If you love fish, then Malabar Spiced Pomfret with Tropical Mango Salsa is perfect for you, as this dish offers fresh pomfret seasoned with authentic coastal spices and complemented with the tropical mango salsa. Also worth your attention are the Chargrilled Herb Prawns with Mango Purée that combine chargrilled prawns, rich in flavour with the mango purée, fresh herbs and citric fruits.

Commenting on the menu, Palash Ghosh, Executive Chef, Taj Agra, said the following:

“The monsoon brings comfort and togetherness. The idea behind this menu is to create dishes that not only include the ingredients that are in season but also transform the traditional monsoon favourites into a more sophisticated version of themselves.”

Be it the leisurely lunch with the family, tea time with monsoon delights or the luxurious dinner while gazing out at the rain drenched city skyline, the Taj Agra offers you an unforgettable dining experience through its monsoon menu.
